Gary Oathout

Gary started with Professional Adjusters of Alaska, Inc. in 1989 as an auto and heavy equipment appraiser. With his extensive background in building construction he soon added property claims to his skills. Gary handles commercial and residential property claims and supervises heavy equipment claims. He is a partner in Professional Adjusters of Alaska, Inc.

MARINE SUPERVISOR:
Peter B. Costello

Pete is the manager of our Marine Department.  He has fifteen years maritime claims handling experience and office management.  Previously, worked in deck and engine departments on commercial cargo vessels (towboat, tug, containership).  Nine years ocean rescue and harbor patrol.  Licensed as Towboat Operator/Master as well as Unlimited Inland Mate on Inspected Vessels of any Gross Tons, Steam or Motor.  Graduated Western State School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1992, and the Oregon Bar in 2000.  Conducts repair surveys on numerous types of vessels.  Presently licensed as General Lines Adjuster in Alaska and Oregon.  He joined our firm in June of 2005.  Peter is a partner in Professional Adjusters of Alaska, Inc.

Bob Reupke joined Professional Adjusters of Alaska, Inc. in 1992 and now has over 34 years of multi-line adjusting experience including Auto, General Liability, Marine, Protection & Indemnity, Professional, Products and Airport Liability. Bob is capable of handling all types of liability, auto or property claims. His extensive experience has proved invaluable while with Professional Adjusters of Alaska, Inc.

David Alutius joined us in 2009 and has extensive experience adjusting claims throughout Alaska for over 25 years, specializing in liability claims with experience in property and auto claims as well. He was with CIGNA Insurance for five years as a line adjuster. He was with Northern Adjusters in Anchorage for ten years and with Allstate Insurance for seven years. Most recently, he was an adjuster with the Alaska Municipal League Joint Insurance Association.

Dan Eames joined us in 2007 and works part time, primarily in our Marine Department. He is a licensed adjuster, and a licensed captain on inspected charter vessels. Dan retired from the US Coast Guard and has several decades hands on boating experience. During he summer months, he runs his own charter business in Valdez, Alaska. He also handles auto appraisal assignments and has a number of years of practical experience in auto body repair. Dan is presently working on obtaining accreditation as an Accredited Marine Surveyor.

APPRAISER:
Mike Baldwin

Mike Baldwin provides auto, marine and heavy equipment appraisals drawing on his 30 years of experience as an auto body repair technician. He has also taught auto body repair.

OFFICE STAFF:
Bobbie Messer
Dori Starkey

Bobbie Messer and Dori Starkey staff our Anchorage office. Bobbie coordinates the auto appraisal department and is responsible for bookkeeping and payroll. She is also our office manager. Dori provides general office/computer support. Both are experienced in our operations and available to field your questions, take new assignments, and direct you to the appropriate person.

Kathy Clemenson

Kathy Clemenson is a multi-line adjuster with 30 years experience handling property, casualty and workers compensation claims. Kathy worked for GAB and then CIGNA before joining Professional Adjusters of Alaska, Inc. She is very versatile and a valued member of our staff. Kathy is currently the office manager of our Matanuska Valley claims office which includes Palmer, Wasilla, Sutton, Talkeetna, Willow, Big Lake and the surrounding communities. She is a partner in Professional Adjusters of Alaska, Inc. as of 2009.
